Faisons la fête

We can’t wait to celebrate this week with you and your families! Below is some helpful information to help you plan for the week. Keep in mind that arrival is on 8/9 and departure on 8/14.

  • This is going to be a laid back week with only a few planned events. You’ll be able to fill in the rest of the time with sightseeing, exploring the grounds or just relaxing.

  • We have been lucky enough to travel many times to this area of France making it a large part of our relationship. We love it and wanted to be able to share it with all the people we love as well.

The Schedule

Sunday, Aug 9

Arrival Day

Plan to arrive anytime this day based on your individual travel plans. Fred and Gil will show you to your rooms and celebrate with Champagne.

Plan to meet in the Bastide courtyard around 4 for a cocktail and we’ll have a kickoff meeting at 6 to go over the house rules and plan for the week. We’ll provide charcuterie for dinner.

Monday, Aug 10

Free Day

Please use this day to acclimate to the time change, explore the property, or have a pool day. If you signed up for the wine tour at Chateau de Bern, you’ll want to leave by 10:40. Lunch will follow at 12:30 for those that have signed up.

Tuesday, Aug 11

Market Day

We encourage you to head to town and explore the local vendors selling food, crafts, linens and more in the city center of Lorgues. The Tuesday Marche typically starts at 8 and ends around 12:30. Plan to come and go as you please.

We also invite everyone to join us at La Tuf in Cotignac for our Rehearsal Reception. The bus will pick us up at 3:30 giving us an hour to explore Cotignac before our event at 5:00pm. You are also welcome to drive yourself.

Wednesday, Aug 12

Wedding Day

Enjoy your day lounging around the property or organize your own side trip.

We may ask for help with some set up, otherwise plan to join us in the courtyard for pre-ceremony cocktails at 5, followed by a relaxed ceremony and reception. Our 4-course traditional French meal will start around 7:30, and we’ll party late into the night!

Thursday, Aug 13

Recovery Day

You could sleep off your hangover and lounge by the pool or join us around 2pm for a trip to the Verdon Gorge.

If you’ve signed up for the perfume and lunch in Grasse, you’ll want to meet in the parking area at the Bastide at 8:40am to hop in a car and head out for the day.

Friday, Aug 14

Departure Day

You don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here. Plan to pack up and leave the property this day. We'll have breakfast available for those that depart later in the day.

Rehearsal Party

Tuesday, August 11, 2026

La Tuf: 5pm—7pm

Join us at our favorite brewery in the area! Located in the village of Cotignac (our favorite town), the Tailleur de Bière experiments with recipes inspired by local flavors such as saffron or mimosa to create unique seasonal beers. The brewery gets its name “The Tuf” thanks to the limestone rock of Cotignac embedded around the building.

We’ll meet on the Terrace and enjoy an open tab for drinks and plenty of Ham & Cheese plates with Crackers and tapenades.

Feel free to come to the city early to explore or stay after our party time to enjoy more of the town (or beer) on your own. Plan for a 30 minute drive from the house to get to Cotignac.

While there is street parking in town it is probably best to park in this lot and walk to the brewery.

Bastide du Pin Courtyard: 5pm-Whenever

Join us in the courtyard at 5:00pm for a cocktail followed by a short ceremony and traditional French dinner in the same area. We’ll add more specifics to this section as we have them!

Dress comfortably for Provencal summer weather.
