About the Wedding
-
We will have our wedding ceremony and party on Wednesday, August 12. You can see the full schedule for the week here.
-
We will have our ceremony and party on property. Plan for a lovely evening in the courtyard of La Bastide du Pin. 1017 Rte de Salernes, 83510 Lorgues, France
-
The south of France has the most wonderful weather! Plan for Highs in the high 80’s and lows in the low 60’s. The wedding will be Provencal casual. Dress up or down for comfort and consider breathable fabrics like linen or light cotton for dresses and suits.
-
The kids are welcome to all the events, of course, but we understand short attention spans. Feel free to let them roam or play in the courtyard as needed, and slip out at any point for bed time routines and return to the party after!
-
NO GIFTS.
We truly love the fact that all of our closest friends would fly half way around the world to share this special week with us in France. We mean it when we say that your presence is our present. Please consider the money you are investing to get your family to our event as the gift you are giving us!
-
Paula will be hosting a party at La Tuf in Cotignac. All guests are invited to join us on the Terrace at our favorite brewery and enjoy an open tab for drinks and plenty of ham & cheese plates with crackers and tapenades the evening before the wedding.
While there is street parking in town it is probably best to park in this lot and walk.

We will show you to your rooms once you arrive at the property. Keep in mind that we are assigning rooms by family, meaning that you and your children will share rooms.
Each room features a double bed and a blow up mattress will be provided for the children to sleep on.
-
We recommend choosing Nice (NCE) as be your final destination and driving from there.
-
Yes, you will need to rent a car in Nice. Lorgues is a about 1.5hr drive from Nice.
Keep in mind that manual (ie stick shift) cars are the default when booking in Europe so you will have to intentionally select an automatic if you don’t want a manual.
-
Driving in France is very similar to the US. They drive on the same side of the road we do and many of the signs feature pictograms that are easy to understand.
Expect to about €6 in tolls on your route to Lorgues.
The toll is calculated based on the distance traveled and the vehicle class. You will pass through one main toll plaza at Antibes.
You will then receive a ticket and pay the remainder at your exit near Le Luc.
All toll lanes have signs above them with pictograms. As long as the lane you choose has an icon showing coins, you can pay with that, if you choose a lane that has a credit card symbol then you can pay with a chip card.
Here is a guide to road signs and what they mean.
-
We plan to have all of the grounds of La Bastide du Pin open to the kids to explore. There is a pool, boules court, playground, trampoline, game room and even soccer goals.
We ask that the grounds of Villa La Douce Sylvia be reserved for adults only.
-
We plan to stock the houses with all the basics include an assortment of local pink wine and plenty of snacks.
You may purchase and bring in anything additional that your family needs to feel comfortable.
-
Prepare for a week of summer fun with highs in the high 80’s and lows in the low 60’s.
Imagine this is a trip to the beach without the sand toys. So don’t forget your swim suits.
Linens are provided by the house.
-
We plan to provide all the linens you need for your stay in addition to a well stocked pantry full of snacks, essentials and plenty of pink wine.
Feel free to bring anything else your family would normally, want or need to make yourselves comfortable on a vacation.
-
We will post that here once they provide it to us, as well as send it out in an email blast
